This last weekend, I was lucky enough to get to spent it visiting my Family. I was born and raised in Utah, then I moved to New Mexico when I met Chris. I was 26 when I moved here. Utah has changed a lot since I left. It’s still awesome to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there. I would need major drugs, just to deal with the Utah drivers. It’s like I turn into Cruella DeVille when I get behind the wheel. I yell, I curse, I hate..hate driving in Utah, but I make it work. Just ask my kids, they will tell you. HaHa!

Friday we went to the Hogle Zoo, in Salt Lake City. I have not been here for years and years. Honestly, I was not looking forward to it. I remember it being hot, a lot of walking, and very hilly. It was a very nice surprise to see what has changed. It is very old lady user friendly. I enjoyed the whole day there.

This was awesome to see the elephants up close and personal. Elle collects elephants, she could have stayed and watched them all damn day. We stayed for way longer than we should have, but it was a perfect day. The weather was perfect. The girls were happy. Everyone was getting along, and Ma went with us. She was a trooper! For 83 years old, she put us to shame. She even skipped up the hill, when we were struggling with the strollers. Lame, huh Jos?

We caught the lions at the perfect time. Nap time! Chloe could have stayed and played with the “kitty” all day. They were giving high fives, kisses, and knuckles to each other.

Don’t forget how the zoo makes their money. They nickel and dime you to death, and unfortunately, we got nickeled and dimed all day. Shocker…right? NOT! Here is a perfect example of a few nickels put together.

This next picture is worth all the nickels I own. I love it!

The next day, being the awesome daughter I am. I took Ma to her favorite place. It looks something like this:

This is what she bought. Once again…it reminds her of her favorite child. 🙂

At the end of the day, we are all family! I love them all! I don’t have favorites, but if I did…..
